Important Safety Information

INDICATIONS: Juvederm products are indicated for injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, cheek augmentation, and lip augmentation in adults over 21 years of age.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Juvederm products should not be used in patients with severe allergies manifested by a history of anaphylaxis or a history or presence of multiple severe allergies, patients with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or gram-positive bacterial proteins, or patients with bleeding disorders.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS: Juvederm products should only be administered by licensed healthcare professionals trained in facial anatomy and injectable technique. Injection into blood vessels can cause vascular occlusion, which may result in tissue necrosis or vision abnormalities. Use with caution in patients on blood thinners. The safety of Juvederm in pregnant or breastfeeding patients has not been established.

MOST COMMON ADVERSE EVENTS: Temporary injection site reactions including swelling, bruising, pain, tenderness, redness, and lumps. Most side effects are mild to moderate in severity and resolve within 2 to 4 weeks. Rare but serious events include vascular compromise and infection.
